Align Views on Sheet

Are you tired of aligning your views on sheets using a detail line and manually aligning every view in place? Use this Dynamo script to align all of your views.

There is one caveat and that is this simple script only works for sheets with a single view.

This way this script works is that it starts by filtering all the sheets in the project according to two words contained in the sheet name. Then it takes one sheet to be the template and aligns all other sheets according to the template sheet. Note you can input the same word in both filters.

Here are simple steps when running the script. Before you start, I recommend having at least two sheets side-by-side in view.

1. Run the Dynamo Script once
2. Check the sheets available in the project.
3. Filter down the sheets by using Filter #1.
4. Filter down the sheets further by using Filter #2.
5. Check results again and choose one sheet as the primary. Choose by inputting the index number corresponding to the sheet.
6. Switch the last selection to True, then run.
7. Check results in Revit.
