How to clear BIM360 Cache Files
Autodesk’s knowledge base lists steps on how to clear your BIM360 cloud cache files. See link at the bottom of this post.
Here’s what you can do instead to speed up the steps.
Go to your cache by copying and pasting this link into your windows explorer address bar. Then press Enter.
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit
Open the folder for the Revit version of the model you’re having issues with, for example “Autodesk Revit 2021”. Then delete all the sub folders within that folder. That’s correct, you can delete all of them. There’s no thinking involved. Just select all and delete. Done.

Why can we do this?
These files are your BIM360 local files and cache files related to those local files. The sub folders you are deleting will automatically recreate themselves the next time you open a model on BIM360. Unless you know which file is for your model and you want to keep a backup of it, it’s safe to delete these files. Note that the next time you open your BIM360 model, Revit will recreate a new local file here for you so expect longer load times than usual since this would be like the first time opening the models. Subsequent opens will be quicker.
How do local files become corrupted?
The short answer to this is that… it’s hard to say. There are various reasons this can happen. In past experience, a local server update could affect some local files but not others. Poor internet connectivity may cause the local file not to sync with the cloud properly. Basically it’s really hard to diagnose what the actually cause could be. The simplest solution is to refresh the local files by following the steps above. The good news is BIM360 manages syncs and local files way better than it used to be with non-cloud models such as on Revit server. BIM360 is way more stable, so this issue should be a rare occurrence.
