Your print settings may automatically switch to “Create separate files…” forcing you reselect “Combine… into a single file”. This is an annoying user experience, and is still an issue in Revit 2024.
This issue happens in the print dialogue box after selecting “Selected views/sheets”, demonstrated below in a few screenshots.
At first it looks like the image below.
Then after clicking “Selected views/sheets”, the radio button for “Create separate files…” is automatically selected.
This is undesired behavior, and is easily missed by beginners.
One solution is to move the buttons for “Combine multiple… ” and “separate files…” to the bottom of the dialogue box.
