Autodesk released Revit 2019 on April 8th of 2018 and it is packed with new exciting features. Viewports can now be pulled out of the Revit main interface and moved to another monitor. This takes advantage of a multi-monitor setup without the clumsiness of stretching the interface across two or more monitors in previous versions. View graphics now contain an "or" filter to increase control and flexibility. Levels can now be viewed and adjusted in 3D, increasing productivity in 3D view mode. A new fullscreen mode provides uncropped perspective views enlarging the view space while working. The new scope box improved consistency issues across 2D and 3D views, and scope boxes can now be applied to 3D views. Fill patterns can now overlap a foreground and background fill in the same object increasing combinations of fill region patterns possible. A new library of physically-based appearance assets improve realistic rendering quality. Railings can now be split outside of sketch mode. For engineers, Revit 2019 brings improvements to the pipe modeling and flow analysis, rebar modeling, steel connection detailing, and precast automation for girder slabs.
